Eyes bigger than belly
A late night trip to the vets was in order for Harvey a South Devon Labrador.
Just before bed he was having his routine medication, when he was a little bit too keen and ate the spoon it was on as well!
His concerned owner rushed him down to South Moor Vets in Kingsbridge Devon, and a trip to X-ray then followed.
The teaspoon could be clearly seen on the X-rays.
He was taken to theatre that night as from the position and size of the spoon there was concern that further issues could ensue.
He has since made a full recovery, he no longer gets his medication off of a spoon, and strangely his owner didn't want the spoon back after the surgery.
